it's been too long since i've updated......

so life has been kinda crazy.... i've been applying to colleges pretty soon i will be in the suspense of waiting to see who wants me.... *crosses fingers*.  Plus all of the teachers are laying stuff on us at school so we can get it all done before break.... how lousy is that.  o and i only have 1 gift bought for xmas.... lol i should really get on that.....  i'm a terrible xmas shopper... i never have any idea what to get people.... maybe i'm just not observant enough.   Then on the other hand i'm really picky about what i give people because i'm very anti-crap.  I think everyone should be anti-crap but our culture is definitely pro-crap.

so i went to the bball game last night and when i was coming home i was on a country road and a car was coming at me so i couldn't see anything. the second after we passed eachother  there was a dog in the middle of the road... i blasted it ...... so i stopped and turned around and when i got back the dog was gone but there was a trail of gunk leading off into the woods.... now for the funny part..... greg was riding shotgun and he had taken a quiz the day before saying he was going to die that day. sure enough if i had swerved we both would've died... you all know what this means of course... i can control fate. hooray for me.

o my ... funny story today in math class..... so my friend, josh, and i were planning on going to a movie tonight cause he got free passes to the sneak preview of mona lisa smile.  he was going to take his gf and i was going to take whitney... our math teachers daughter.  so in math we happen to be discussing it and our math teacher asks us what movie we are going to see.  he tells her "mona lisa smile" and she says "good job guys, going to a chick flick.  a lot of guys wouldn't put up with that, but that is smooth" and josh without think blurts out "yea now you can score owen...." o my it was funny.

i had a rather embarassing moment the other day... a bunch of kids (including myself) went to the nursing home in our town to hand out xmas cards to the old folks there.  so my partner and i are walking around and we walk up to this one room and there are two older guys in the room.  we knocked on the door and they both looked at us but didn't say anything.   after waiting for a little while i say "we are from the highschool handing out xmas cards and we were wondering if you would like one..." still no reply.  and just as i was about to walk in and just set on on the counter the guy sitting in the wheelchair picks up a bottle between his legs.... turns out he was taking a piss the whole time we were talking with them..... i'm not sure if he was embarassed or not or if he even had any idea of what was going on cause he never said anything but we told them we would come back later..... that was rather awkward.

updating... christmas is an odd holiday.  i despise a lot of things about christmas... it is just a consumerist holiday  ya know.  buy buy buy, spend spend spend..... it would be perfect if people just randomly got eachother stuff throughout the year and gave it to eachother... unfortunately that would probably not work.   and see if you wanna get outta this whole cycle what do you do?  people enjoy giving you stuff and they will keep doing it... so then you just seem selfish for not getting anyone else anything....  sigh..... all the consumerism makes me sad... i realize how dissappointed so many kids are going to be on xmas... and how much tension and everything this holiday causes when it is just so supposed to give us a way to be generous to eachother..... 

two summers ago i went to a camp for "gifted" students.  everyone there took a class that interested them and we did activities and stuff like any camp ya know.... it was really great though.... it was awesome.  i'm sure some of the kids there were some of the brightest kids in the nation.  The part that was especially cool though was the conversations....  after leaving though i was pretty insecure cause everyone there was pretty bright and i always wondered, when we had the arguments if i was like one of "those" kids at my own school that talks a lot but knows nothing, to all the other bright kids there....  that would make me sad but that was such a great experience....

i could really go for a good snack right now......

ok... i was heading to bed but a comment really irked me into making a reply.... priesthood writes a comment congratulating me on being a virgin and says "You are chaste and, I assume, mentally healthy." nothing could be farther from the truth.... for anyone that may follow my entries... you may have come to the realization that the whole topic of sex is something that runs through my mind often (or even those of you that rarely read my blog....). but you see i am a normal teenager so of course i have sex on the brain and the fact that i haven't gotten any yet has been an issue of great torment. now the chances i have had to get some would've caused me greater torment but make no mistake with the right opportunity i would have sex in a heartbeat. dealing with sex is an issue that torments many many teens and (although i haven't read it so this is only heresay) the book The Virgin Suicides would be a great example of sexual frustration. humans were meant to reproduce by my age... not sit around jacking off... the reason having sex often causes serious mental problems for girls is because their natural drive is for commitment and security because they are the motherly figure.... whereas a man's drive is to pass on his gene's (in the most generalized sense of everything). so yes people can have sex and be mentally stable and this whole repressing sexual urges and desires and needs i don't think is too particularly healthy.... unfortunately i can't convince anyone the benefits of casual sex that i would desire to have sex with..... man that is a lot of ranting about sex... i have had too many posts on that subject lately i should really move on.  o and priesthood... to assume makes an ass out of u and me

those with weak stomachs divert your eyes... i figured i'd share this with everyone cause it is strange.  due to me being sick i've been burping a lot (upset stomach)... and as we all know burps have distinct tastes to them.  i've discovered that these "flu burps" i've been having have the same taste as the burps i got last time i had keg beer.... hmmm how odd.

ugh.... i'm so sick....... been sick all break yippee. and yes it is the flu the first time i've had it in many years. i spent a good deal of last night throwing up.... o what fun. i guess it is a good thing we don't have school tomorrow... that's right, no school. and no it is not a holiday it is the first day of gun season. see the school has decided that trying to have school on the first day of gun season is pointless because no one shows up, so they just cancel. there's something that could really irk a peta member, schools promoting hunting. o and shankbone... for some reason i had thought ur comment was directed at me, not sure why, but that's why i thought it was funny. but hey .... "can't we all just get along"? i don't like the fighting.....
