went canvassing tonight... things i do not like about ACT, they tell us only to register voters that are likely to vote for kerry, they seem almost deceptive when asking people questions, rather than coming out straight away and saying they are a liberal organization.  i think this leads to mistrust and could cause more harm than good.  they should come straight out and say they are liberal and they should register everyone.  the ends do not justify the means.  that is an ideaology that i believe has turned me off from the republican party so much. 

it is quite the trick to argue with radicals without taking a radical stance yourself.  something i am not very good at yet. 

so what have i been doing.  o boy.... i've been a park ranger for the cape hattaras national park in north carolina. did i have a great time: yes.  it is definitely a beautiful part of the world.... the pay was great.  the surf was huge (10-12 feet some of the time) but unfortunately i was not good enough at surfing at that point to take advantage of it.  i may go back next summer.  i love the national parks.... on the way back i drove through a hurricane.... my wipers didn't work that well. but i did not drive off any mountains.  i won't be home for long now... i am doing something with my life.  i don't feel as stagnant.....

i would write something inspirational tonight but i have nothing.... o i read a dante quote that i liked... Dante said that the hottest place in Hell is reserved for those who in time of crisis remain neutral
